The Boy Who Lost His Dream

In the winding lanes of late nineteenth-century Damascus, Khaled grows up in an old house near the Umayyad Mosque, dreaming of a different life. But his strict grandfather, harsh father and family expectations stand in his way.

One decision turns his quiet life upside down, sending him along paths he never imagined. A historical novel about dreams, family and reality, asking whether we can hold on to our dreams without losing those we love: or ourselves along the way.
